An app I have been remiss in talking about is Remote Potato, its a remote record tool much like Webguide that enables you to schedule recordings via a web ui. With the changes to Windows 7 breaking Webguide remote access to the EPG has been missing from Windows Media Center and this is where Remote Potato comes in. It’s compatible with Windows 7 and has a full web based UI that will work over the internet, the app uses a tool to export the EPG data in to a compatible format and has its own web server built in.
The app is free and there is a great thread on TGB about it, I am downloading right now as its a service I really miss in Windows 7. More details are available HERE

I have installed this and it works great, it was simple to install and just needs mc2xml installing in addition to the main program.
