It’s patch Tuesday again and this week month there is a patch for Vista Media Center, all the details are on Microsoft.com

Microsoft has released the February 2008 Cumulative Update for Media Center for Windows Vista. This update rollup is intended for computers that are running Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate.

Issues that are resolved by this update

In addition to the fixes that are contained in the updates that are listed in the “Hotfix replacement information” section, the February 2008 Cumulative Update for Media Center for Windows Vista resolves the following issues:

  • The Ehvid.exe process crashes. This issue is reported by the Dr. Watson application when it occurs.
  • Only the audio part of back-to-back recordings plays on computers that have digital cable card tuners. This issue is occurs after the installation of update 955519.

Note This update contains the fix for both host computers and Media Center Extenders.

  1. Holy cow!!! This was the update I’ve been waiting for! I had to uninstall 955519 since it was killing my CableCard Recordings!!! I’ll be driving home a little faster.
