Sean Alexander has posted details on Dell’s new Studio Hybrid. First off it looks a great, takes only 65watts of power and has HDMI. It would make a great Media Center PC either directly connected to a TV or serving Extenders. This could be an ideal Media Center Server for me, I was looking for a tower unit but the HP TouchSmart has had me reconsidering that idea and now this Dell adds to my confusion!

Checkout the details on Dell’s web site, prices start from $499

  1. It’s that time of week for a post round up. I have my interview with Engadget’s Ben Drawbaugh, Open Media…

  2. Problem would be the TV Input. They have an option for the USB TV Tuner but a friend of mine tried it a while ago and it didn’t work very well. Maybe it does now? Like you I’m thinking this little box can do it all in a small package…the big question I haven’t found anywhere is if its LOUD or not. Anyone?

  3. This Dell machine would fit nicely in the living room. It could have a blu-ray drive but does the Intel GPU support HW acceleration for H264 ? It’s not in the specs.
