Updated: The pictures Engadget posted were of Niveus’ Media Center Server not an Extender, the screen is their companion software and now they have updated the post to say the screen shots are of Niveus’ touch screen and not the Extender
Engadget have got there hands on some of the details of Niveus’ Media Center Extender. While Microsoft are keeping the detail of the v2 extenders hidden for the moment Engadget have a nice gallery of pictures of the Niveus extender.
One thing I noticed in the screen shot of the Extender software is that the UI is NOT the same as Windows Media Center. Have a look at the picture bellow:
Does this mean that the Extenders have there own customer UI and do not share the UI experience with Media Center? I was expecting the Extenders to get their UI from the host PC and look just like the PC Media Center, as the Xbox 360 does.
