This week Microsoft MVP Bryan Socha joins be to talk about codecs also know as DVD decoders or just Decoders. These are the mysterious pieces of software that enables Windows to play different formats of media content such as DVD and recorded TV. Bryan will be explaining what there are, how they do it and some of the common issues around Decoders. I have email in to the show, forums winner and news items.

Note: We didn’t really clarify the full audio features of Microsoft’s built in Decoder in Vista so I will have an update on this on a future show
