I have created many sound packs for various synths, including packs based on Pink Floyd, Genesis, Vangelis, and Kraftwerk. I have also reproduced classic synths like the Jupiter-8, JX-3P, and Polysix on the Korg Modwave. I have received many requests to explain the process I use for recreating sounds. So far, I have shown how to recreate sounds from a Jen SX1000 on the Modwave, and this time I am going to attempt to recreate the brass sound from Yazoo’s “Don’t Go.”
Unlike the SX1000 video, I don’t have the original synth in front of me, so this tutorial is done by ear and demonstrates the process I follow when recreating sounds.
