Recently my Surface Go keyboard stopped working. The keyboard and trackpad stopped working completely and the only sign of life was a brief flash of the caps lock light when I connected it but that was it.
I tried the fix that I wrote about a few years ago which involves going into the BIOS but that didn’t work this time. I tried reinstalling drives, going in and out of the BIOS and nothing worked.
Then someone posted a comments on my previous post saying to try draining the battery and have to say I was skeptical. But I tried it, completely drained the battery, and then rebooted and to my surprise the keyboard and trackpad now work.
Hopefully, that works for someone else and saves you thinking you need a new keyboard!
