In this video I look at a USB desktop microphone designed to be used on a conference table so you can do round table Zoom or Teams calls or use it for something like podcast recordings. The Digitallife ME1 omni-directional low-profile microphone that connects via USB C and the included USB A to C cable. It’s a class compliant driver so there is no need to install any drivers and it works with PC or Mac.

It’s a solid device with a zinc body and a mute button on the top. It also has a headphone socket and volume control for the microphone.

As you will be able to hear in the video the microphone quality is great for an omni-directional microphone which means it will pick up anyone in the room unlike a direction microphone which will only pick up the person with the microphone pointed at them.

The microphone costs £32.99 on Amazon.
