Microsoft have announced an updated version of the Surface Laptop Go. The more budget friendly (compared to premium Surface devices) Surface Laptop Go 2 bumps the spec of the original Laptop Go to a 11th gen Intel Core i5 processor and comes in Ice Blue, Sandstone, Platinum, and a new Sage colour. It weights 2.48 pounds, has a 3:2 12.4 inch display and “all day battery life”. Microsoft have dropped the old 4GB/64GB eMMC version, so the devices start with a 4GB / 128GB edition with a price of $599 / £529 going up to £729 for the 8GB / 356GB model. You can pre-order later today and the device ships June 7th.

The Laptop Go 2 supports Windows Hello via a fingerprint reader built into the power button. It has used replaceable cover, trackpad and service replaceable battery.
