The most interesting device Microsoft showed off today is not coming until next year. The foldable Surface Neo is a dual screen device (2 x 9″) that you can open like a book or use like a tablet, 5.6mm thin and has a keyboard that folders into it. It has a 360 degree hinge so you can use it like a traditional 2 in one as well as a book. There is an attached keyboard which Windows then adapts the display when connected.

What is really interesting is the new UI experience, Microsoft called it Windows 10X which is designed for dual screen devices. Applications can run on one screen or span across the dual screen. Microsoft Windows 10X supports Windows application including Office. The start menu look different with centred start menu icons.

The device and software combination looks fantastic and I can’t wait to see more details on both over the next 12 months.
