Microsoft have announced pricing for the new HoloLens 2 Developer Edition. Up until the announcement, only commercial versions were available but now Microsoft have announced details on how developers can get the device as well as a standalone version.

The standalone HoloLens 2 is available for $3500 and is available to pre-order now and the HoloLens 2 Development Edition which includes $500 Azure credit and Unity trial starts at $99 per month or $3500. I checked Microsoft’s UK site any they only had USD prices.

Microsoft are still not targeting HoloLens 2 at consumers but rather enterprises and now developers who want to create HoloLens 2 apps and services utilising the full hand and eye tracking. For consumers there are the Windows Mixed Reality headsets.
