Microsoft have made release a development version of the new Chromium based Microsoft Edge. The new browser is available in daily and weekly build version designed for developers and a less frequently updated stable build is coming soon. Initially it will be available for Windows 10 with Windows 8.1, Windows 7 and Mac coming soon.

At first glance the browser looks very much like Google Chrome but my initial impression is that it seems quick and less resource hungry than Google’s browser. You can sign in to the browser and have it sync your settings, history and favourite between machines.

You can download the browser from Microsoft and there is no need to be a Windows Insider to start testing the new Microsoft Edge.
