Over the last week I have written about the issue causing HoloLens apps to crash after a recent OS update to the device. A broken update caused apps like the Microsoft Store, Photos and Edge to crash and now Microsoft are rolling out an update to fix the problem.
Update 17763.380 will be available via Windows Update and will fix the app hang issue. My HoloLens has not picked up the update yet but I did a device reset, which cured the issue on my device.
We are pleased to announce that we have identified a fix and starting today, we are going to begin a phased rollout of a fix to the OS.
To see if your device can take the update please:
Go to the “Settings” app and open “Update & Security”
Click “Check for Updates”
If update to 17763.380 is available, please update to this build to receive the fix for the App Hang bug
Upon updating to this version of the OS, the Apps should work as expected.
