Today at Microsoft’s Surface event Microsoft announced they have released the Windows 10 October 2018 Update. Today’s release means the update has gone straight from the slow ring to general Windows users, rather than the previous way where the final update was sent to the release preview ring before hitting general release.

Microsoft must be very confident with the 17763 build as there will be no feedback from the release preview ring. This years April update was delayed as tester found a show stopping bug during the Release Preview phase.

How to get the October 2018 Update

If you want to get the update just go to Windows Update and check for updates. Microsoft are using a phased approach for the rollout so when you get the update depends on your device configuration.
