Microsoft are pushing out a firmware update for the Surface Go to fix an issue caused by October 2018 Update. The 1809 update which was available for about a week (see my post) and Surface Go owners have been reporting issue with the display brightness since applying the update.

The system firmware 1.5.1.0 fixes the display issue and is available for Surface Go running the April 2018 update or later. My Surface Go has been running the October 2018 since release and I can’t say I have noticed any problems with the display, and my Surface hasn’t seen this update yet.
