Steam have updated the public beta Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR. This component links Windows Mixed Reality with SteamVR so you can play SteamVR games in WMR.

The latest update has improved resolution for apps and games, Steam do not say how that has been achieved but I suspect it is to do with super sampling. The other changes are new input mapping options for WMR controllers with Steam and fixes for motion reprojetion fixes.

With the October 2018 Update of Windows 10 you will be able to launch SteamVR directly from the Microsoft Cliff House or Skyloft.

The public beta has been updated to version 1.0.356

Improved effective resolution for all apps. Note that this change will not provide a resolution improvement when using a high super sampling value.

Input Configuration – Customize the input mapping for your Windows Mixed Reality controllers with the Steam Input configuration menu. This will introduce a one time breaking change for previous customizations as you will need to reconfigure your settings for the Window Mixed Reality Controller.

Fixed a number of reliability issues related to motion reprojection
