Last week I was rather surprised when my HoloLens picked up the first Redstone 5. Microsoft seems to be also surprised as they didn’t publish any release notes. Well we now they have and we have the details of what’s in build 17686.

Build 17686 includes support for using post-provisioning after initial setup from Settings and support for assigned access with AAD groups support. It also includes an updated flow for ending mixed reality video capture from the Start menu.
I noticed that after a reset HoloLens enables dark mode is and there is no option to turn it off, the good news is that dark mode looks good on the HoloLens.
