Microsoft have announced a new Windows Mixed Reality app is coming featuring Sir David Attenborough. The new app call “Hold the World” is a behind-the-scenes tour of the Natural History Museum and takes you around normally closed areas of the museum all-viewable in Windows Mixed Reality and Sky’s VR app. You can pickup and manipulate objects in the virtual word with motion controllers and Sir David Attenborough explains some of the object to you in 3D.

The app was created using over 100 cameras at Microsoft’s Mixed Reality Capture Studio in Redmond. The capture was combined with photos from the museum to produce the immersive experience.

The app will be available in the Spring for Sky VR and Windows Mixed Reality. More details on the Microsoft press page.
