When you launch Windows Mixed Reality you get taken to the Cliff House which is your virtual home in mixed reality. It has media room, office area and an outdoor space for you to place your apps and shortcuts. Recently introduced for Windows Insiders using build 17083 or higher and not mentioned at all in the build notes is a brand new environment for Windows Mixed Reality.

The new place is called Mission Control and you can switch between the Cliff House and Mission Control via a places option. It has industrial look and has a large outdoor area, it seems to have more space than the cliff house. There is a gallery area, meeting area, desks and a movie viewing area.

It’s great to have the option of a new home, it’s a shame Microsoft haven’t talked about it. Maybe they are saving it for the Redstone 4 launch.
