Videolan have launched version 3.0 of VLC the ever popular media player. Version 3 (codenamed Vetinari) includes many new features including 4k/8k playback, HDR on Windows 10, 360 degree videos and can stream to Chromecast devices.
It supports Blue-ray java menus, network drives, NAS devices and has many other new features (see the complete list here). The new version works with Windows 10 (right back to Windows XP), MacOS 10.7 and above, iOS 7 and above, Android 2.3 and above, Android TV, Xbox One, and Linux.
