Today Microsoft have announced that the next major update to Windows 10 the Fall Creators Update will be available October 17th. During Microsoft’s keynote at IFA in Berlin Terry Myerson announced the release date for the update as well as highlighting Microsoft’s partners Windows Mixed reality devices.

Microsoft are close to completion of the update which was coded named Redstone 3 and the latest builds are feature complete with the focus being on UI polish and bug fixes. While Microsoft say the release date is October 17th it will probably roll out in phases with Windows Insiders getting the build first and then it will roll out in stages.
