Anyone with Philips Hue system should checkout hueDynamic a brilliant Windows 10 UWP app that in many ways is better than Philips own Hue apps (which are iOS and Android only anyway), its a rich app packed with features.

With the app you can control your Philips Hue system from Windows 10 PC, phones and Xbox One. It works with Cortana so you can say “Hey Cortana, lights on in the living room”, it has a disco mode, dynamic scenes and links up with Plex Media Server and lots more.

It’s not just me that loves the app as Microsoft have nominated it in the “App Creator of the Year” category as part of the first Windows Developer Awards which will be featured at Microsoft Build next month. There is a great selection of apps in the awards and it’s great to see my favourite app nominated. There isn’t long left to vote as voting closes April 27th so if you are Philips Hue and Windows user checkout the app in the Windows Store and vote for the app.

You can hear all about the app when I interview Darrell Marjoram on The Digital Lifestyle Show podcast (#599 available now tomorrow).
