The first alpha of the next edition of Kodi (version 17) has been released, alpha 2 (there was no alpha 1) has the codename Krypton and includes two new skins replacing the old Confluence skin. Estuary and Estouchy are built from the ground up for the new Kodi experience and have new screens and smartplaylists. There is a new video engine and new PVR addon engine. The alpha is in the early stages of development and there will be a lot a builds between know and the general release.
