  1. Hey Guys,

Been listening for years and look forward to it every week.

    Ian, Jase,

I’ve had to ditch the Lumia 1520 with Windows Phone 8.1 after loving it for nearly 18 months firstly due to an unreliable battery (or could it be the battery meter?) that will die anywhere between 62% and 30-odd%.

I love the way the WP8.1 works and my wife also admired it but couldn’t bring herself to get into it due to the app gap. The Live Tiles and the way you could arrange them really shone as one of the great features of the OS.

But I, like Ian, wanted something with an FM radio so after much searching I’ve found that of the current models on offer, only the Sony’s seem to include it, so I’m rocking the Xperia Z5 Premium E6583. Android devices with FM radios are out there but you have to look bloody hard!

Since I’ve made the switch I’ve installed as many Microsoft apps as I can to replicate the Windows Phone experience and the Office Apps for Android are soooooo much better than what was offered for WP8.1.

But one of the things I miss the most is Cortana integration. I’ve side loaded the US version and it just doesn’t compare to how it works with WP8.1, but that is to be expected, unfortunately.

Anyway, on with Android and RIP Windows Phone. You will be sorely missed.
