Since the launch of Windows 10 Microsoft have been promising that Windows 10 aps will come to the Xbox One but up to now there have been no time frame. We are probably going to get more details about the plans at Microsoft’s Build conference in a couple of weeks but yesterday at GDC Microsoft said that apps will come to the Xbox One this summer.

We still don’t know if it’s all Windows Store apps or a curated list of apps but it makes sense to have media apps like Emby available but maybe not Word or Excel.
