Continuum with the Microsoft Display Dock and the Lumia 950 XL works really well, it is a great way to get a PC experience using a phone (see my review). The one thing that is missing is Remote Desktop, if the app was available you could remote on to a server to manage it or on to a PC and use Windows app not available on the phone. It is a strange omission and Microsoft are working on getting a new universal app version of Remote Desktop that will work on the dock.
We’ve heard a lot of buzz around being able to connect to a remote desktop from Continuum for phone. We are excited to share that the Remote Desktop Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app will be released very soon in Technical Preview.
Hopefully it won’t be too long until we can try it.
