Here is our hands on look at the new Windows 10 Mobile build. Build 10549 won’t actually install on a device with Windows 10 Mobile installed due to an install bug so I had to roll back to Windows Phone 8.1 via the Windows Devices Recovery Tool. Once back on Windows Phone 8.1 the install took a couple of hours and it was then ready to use.
I have to say still the weak link with Windows 10 Mobile upgrade processes, each release there seems to be issues with the upgrade. Anyway I got it working after a few hours.
There are not that many changes to this release. There is Cortana for Japan, Australia and Canada, the Messaging app has been improved with improved text entry and there are skin tone colours for emojis. In this video I take a look at the new build, see what has changed and point out some of the issues you should be aware of before installing.
