The Groove music app continues to be improved with the mobile and desktop versions of the app being updated. The desktop version of the app now remembers whether the menu is collapsed or expanded across sessions. With the mobile version you can now search for artist within the app, FLAC album art has been fixed, there is a new manual sync option and there are other UI tweaks. It great to see the updated, now all I need is DLNA in the app and we are done!

I’m afraid that Groove is still a bug-ridden disaster as far as I’m concerned. Microsoft may have fixed the issue of not displaying album art for FLAC files on mobile, but it’s still present in the PC version. It is also still continually losing track of my music collection held in a library on my WHS2011 system.
And not only is “Cast to” still not present, neither is gapless playback – which is supposed to now be supported in Windows 10.
