Emby Server is a great media solution for watching your own media collection with and now you can watch live TV with Emby Server and a HD HomeRun without any extra software. This means you can view TV EPG and watch live TV without having to use other programs like Windows Media Center. The new Emby Server supports HD Homerun networked tuners straight out of the box. There is a wizard for detection of TV channels and the TV data comes from Schedules Direct with other sources being added soon. You can then watch TV on Android, Windows Tablets, Windows Phone, Roku or a web browser. There is also tuner pooling, automatic transcoding and parental controls.
Overall it looks a great idea especially if you are looking for a new TV solution to replace Windows Media Center when you switch to Windows 10. You can read more about the new Emby Server at Emby.Media
