This week Media Browser announced a renaming of the project as Emby and they have just released the first build under the new name. Emby Server Beta 3.0.5557 is not only the first build released with the new name but it also has some new features.
This release has Cloud Sync and Folder Sync so you can sync media to external locations and then stream from the cloud so you are not dependent on your upload bandwidth. There is enhanced live TV metadata, new task scheduling options and lots of other fixes.
With Emby server you can copy all your media to the server and then access it from their apps which are available for iOS, Roku, Android, Windows and Windows Phone.
