Regular readers will know VLC have been working on VLC for Windows Phone for a long time and for the last couple of months it has been in private beta. The app has been updated and is now open to all Windows Phone users. The app is still in beta and still has some restrictions like no background audio but it works well for media playback and the development is continuing.

You can find the app in the Windows Phone Store.
