This week at CES HP announced two new mini desktop machines one of which could make a nice little media player. The HP Stream Mini Desktop has 32GB SSD drive, 2 GB RAM, weighs 1.6 pounds and is 2 inches tall. It has Display Port, HDMI output plus an audio output jack. The price will be $179 including a keyboard and mouse and would make a good media player running something like Media Browser, Plex or Windows Media Center.

The other device is the HP Pavilion Mini Desktop which is more or less the same device but has an Intel Core i7, 4GB RAM and will cost $319. I really like the small form factor design and could see one connected up to my main TV.
