To the BBC Windows Phone seems to be very much the poor relation of the smart phone platforms with the iPlayer app for Windows Phone lagging behind in features compared to the Android and iOS versions. Having said that the BBC are supporting the platform and they have released a new BBC Sport app for Windows Phone.
The app is essentially a wrapper of the BBC Sport web site but it does have a couple of extra features. You can browse the various sections of the BBC Sport site, including the F1 and football and then share content via the Windows Phone sharing system. There is also a live tile displaying the sport headlines.
