The BBC have updated the Android and iOS versions of the iPlayer app with new accessibility options and promising to get rid of buffering on the Android app. The Android iPlayer app now automatically plays the video at the best quality for your connections so there is no buffering on playback.  For iOS and Android the update shows more programmes in the Most Popular section, more programmes have audio descriptions and there are various other bug fixes.

The Android app is free from the Google Play Store and the iOS version is available from the iTunes Store.
