For sending content to my Chromecast or Xbox One from Windows machines I use BubbleUPnP a DLNA/Chromecast app, it will browse local and cloud storage and stream to UPnP/DLNA and Chromecast devices. The app has recently had been overhauled with a new user interface. The app now requires Android 4.0 or higher and has new UI that has the now standard Android UI menu style and is much easier to use compared to the old version. Version 2 also has support for Box.com cloud storage and the usual bug fixes.
