Channel 4 have streaming apps for iOS, Android and Windows and now Windows Phones joins the party. The 4oD app for Windows Phone 8 brings Channel 4, E4 and More4 content to Windows Phone with unlimited streaming. The streaming is WiFi only, so no streaming TV shows while you are on the go over 3G/4G.
The UI is makes good use of the metro style interface, you can view 4oD recommendations, view by date and search for TV shows. The main issue I have with the app is the two minutes of adverts before and during the TV shows, it seems to take forever for the programme to start (the same goes for the iOS and Android versions). Other than that it’s a good app, just a shame 3G is blocked.
