If you have a Sonos music system then you have a new way of streaming music with it. Amazon have announced that the Amazon Cloud Player is available on Sonos systems enabling music stored in Amazons music locker to be played on a Sonos device. In June Amazon added AutoRip for CDs and vinyl purchases so you automatically get a digital copy of purchases CDs and vinyl going back to 1999 so if you are like me and had purchased many CDs from Amazon in the past you may have a good collection of content already in the Cloud Player.

In June Amazon launched AutoRip in the UK, a new service giving customers free MP3 versions of CDs and vinyl music they purchase from Amazon. When customers purchase AutoRip CDs and vinyl the MP3 version is automatically added to their Cloud Player library available, free of charge, for immediate playback or download. Additionally, customers who have purchased AutoRip albums at any time since Amazon.co.uk first opened its Music Store in 1999 will find MP3 versions of those albums have been automatically added to their Cloud Player libraries for free.
