The BBC continue to develop mobile apps for Android and iOS, the latest release is a dedicated Weather app. The app which is now available from the Google Play Store and the iTunes Store has 5 day and 48 hour forecasts you can also drill down to visibility, humidity and pressure.There are also international forecasts and for Android there is a widget with shows five days of weather.
The iOS version is designed for the iPhone and so doesn’t look great on the iPad which is a shame. The Android version includes NFC sharing of locations which while doesn’t seem that important it’s good to see the BBC trying new techniques.
