ITV have updated the ITV Player app for the iPad and iPhone and introduced a new subscription service. ITV Player Premium is a new subscription service that gives you live streaming of ITV3, ITV4 and removes the adverts from the catch up content. The service costs £3.99 via an in-app purchase and once you have subscribed you get access on all your iOS devices. I wonder if this is ITV putting their toe in the water and seeing how well this works out for them as I can’t see there being that much demand for ITV3 and ITV4 live streams as most of the content on the channels are repeats from the main ITV channel.
The basic app is free from the iTunes Store and gives you access to ITV and ITV2 live streams as well as catch up content.
