Nokia have had a beta of a DLNA app for Windows Phone in the works for some time (see our post from February) and today they have launched the finished version in the Windows Phone Store. Nokia Play To for Windows Phone 8 is a DLNA/UPnP app for Windows Phone and with the app you can push content to DLNA receiver like TVs and PCs from your phone. It would be very handy for showing off pictures on your phone and pushing them to a TV or sharing a music track to your AV system via a PC. Unfortunately the app is only for Nokia Windows Phones but it should work on Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 7 Nokia devices.

It would be nice to see the app released for other Windows Phone devices. If you have a Nokia Windows Phone you can find the Windows Phone 8 version here and the Windows Phone 7 version here.

App details:

Play To provides a method to enjoy your personal content (Photos, Videos and Music) on other DLNA capable devices connected to the same WiFi network. Using the application allows you to easily connect to your WiFi network and discover active DLNA capable devices on the network. Enjoy your content on DLNA capable TVs, Blu-ray players, PCs, etc.
