Apple released a new version of iTunes yesterday, version 11.0.3 has a new MiniPlayer which has album artwork and a song progress bar. The Windows version is around 80mb and also has improved performance and sorting large libraries. Also multi-disc albums now show as single albums which I am glad to see many double and the odd triple prog rock album!
The release notes say:
MiniPlayer now include a beautiful new view that showcase your album artwork. In addition, a progress bar is now built right into MiniPlayer.
Improved Songs View: You can now enjoy your album artwork while in Songs view.
Multi-Disc Albums. Albums with multiple discs now appear as a sing album
