Video: 3D Scanning with Kinect for Windows
At The Gadget Show Live Microsoft were demonstrating how they are using Kinect for Windows to produce 3D models of real world objects and then be able to re-create the model using a 3D printer. So I volunteered to be scanned by the Microsoft team and then I chatted with Microsoft about the complexities of going from a scanned image to model that could be printed with a 3D printer.
