As well as the News app which was updated today Microsoft have also updated some of the apps that originally shipped with Windows 8 and Windows RT. The apps which are all Bing powered have have had lots of content added to them.
The Maps app has walking and public transport directions, Click to call and improved navigation. The Sport app has additional sports content, the Travel app gets “Nearby” and favourites features. The finance app introduces personal finance tools like loan calculators.
It’s good to see new features in the apps.
