Twitter have released its official Twitter app for Windows 8 and Windows RT. When Windows 8 launched Microsoft said Twitter would be bringing out a Windows Store Twitter app and today it’s available. The app looks identical to the Windows Phone 8 version recently released with a Home, Connect, Discover and Me tabs. It has some nice features like a live tile showing recent mentions and a Snap view where you drag twitter off to the side plus there is also integration with the Share charm.
The down side seems to be in landscape mode it waists a lot of space and unbelievably there doesn’t seem to be a spell checker in the app which rules it out for me! The app is free from the Windows Store.

– Create the ultimate screen with Snap view on Windows 8. Drag Twitter into the narrow side of the screen and slide in another favorite app. You can stream a live video while you watch the conversation about it unfold on Twitter. Then use the Share charm to join the discussion.
