Netflix on a Chromebook

Google have announced they have worked with Netflix to bring Netflix to ARM based Chromebooks using HTML5. Currently Netflix use Microsoft’s Silverlight technology for its web site and this would be the first time Netflix have used HTML5. With Microsoft seeming to abandon Silverlight it would seem like a good idea for Netflix to look at HTML5.

This was on Google’s Chrome Google Plus page:

Today we launched HTML5 video playback for streaming content from +Netflix for the ARM-based Samsung Chromebook, so you can now enjoy your favorite Netflix shows & movies.
