You can never have enough bandwidth on a home networks with especially when it comes to streaming HD video. The 802.11ac WiFi standard is currently in development and can theoretically support 1 gigabit per seconds transfer which would be great for HD streaming. Netgear’s new R6300 Router supports 802.11ac and also has gigabit wired ports, DNLA and supports Netgear’s ReadySHARE.
In this video I unbox the router and test the wifi performance and the transfer speeds to see if it can really make a difference. I tested copying a file using my 802.11n router and then trying the R6300, what the video to find out if it makes a difference.
