Just a very quick post to let everyone know I noticed that Acer now has updated drivers available for the Iconia W500 which you can find here.
While the G-Sensor driver, needed to support rotation between landscape and portrait modes, still shows the same version number (1.0.0.5) the file size has increased (96.9 KB compared to 96.3 KB) and is working correctly. The Windows 7 version of the driver had stopped working correctly between the Release Preview and Release to Manufacturing builds of Windows 8.
Note that you will also need to install the “Device Control” software available on the Application tab of the drivers page.
