Today at Google I/O as well as announcing the Google Nexus 7 tablet and Nexus Q Media Streamer Google introduced Android 4.1 code named Jellybean. The new OS is supposed to run smoother that previous versions and offline voice dictation, NFC beam app, improvements to the app download model, automatic widget resizing and offline maps. 4.1 will be on the new tablet and selected Nexus devices.

It’s great that Android has an update but you have to wonder how many devices it will actually get delivered too, Android 4.0 has only just rolled out to devices like my Galaxy Note.
