We know Windows Media Center isn’t going to be included in every SKU of Windows 8 as it wasn’t included in every SKU of Windows 7 and the latest rumor coming from Winunleaked is that that there could be a Professional /WMC SKU, they found an edition labeled ProfessionalWMC. Microsoft have hinted in the past that Windows Media Center may be included in a separate edition going back to how it was with Windows XP Media Center Edition and this time it could be due to the licensing costs for codecs. Having SKUs without Media Center means that codecs like Dolby Digital don’t have to be included reducing the cost of the edition.  There has been some speculation that Windows Media Center may be an optional download but I don’t expect that to happen due to the way that Media Center is designed, its much more likely to be an a Home Premium or separate edtion all together.
