D-Link have been busy with the press releases, rather than do a post on each one here is a summary of their CES announcements this week:

 

D-Link Brings Comprehensive Cloud Services to Home Networking and Unveils Industry’s First Sub-$50 Cloud Router

D-Link today unveiled a portfolio of Cloud Services spanning multiple product lines, giving people an effortless way to view, control and share their digital lives remotely and securely. As part of the company’s ongoing initiative, D-Link today also introduced the industry’s first sub-$50 Wi-Fi router with advanced cloud services – the new D-Link® Cloud Router (DIR-605L). In addition to bringing cutting-edge, cloud-enabled devices to market, D-Link’s new Cloud Services provide remote sharing and management capabilities through its award-winning mydlink portal and mydlink apps for iPhone®, iPad® and Android devices. D-Link Expands amplifi High-Performance Home Networking with New HD Media Router 3000 with Cloud Services and Wireless N PowerLine Gigabit Router

D-Link today expanded its award-winning line of amplifi™ high-performance home networking solutions to include the HD Media Router 3000 (DIR-857) with SharePort™ Cloud technology, and the Wireless N PowerLine Gigabit Router (DHP-1565). Offering industry-leading speeds of up to 900 Mbps, HD Fuel® for automatic bandwidth prioritization and new SharePort Cloud to remotely manage and share content, the D-Link® HD Media Router 3000 provides high-performance connectivity to support a range of bandwidth intensive applications. Delivering industry-exclusive 500Mbps PowerLine bandwidth, the D-Link Wireless N PowerLine Gigabit Router taps into a home’s existing electrical wiring to extend wired and Wi-Fi networking to hard-to-reach places for enhanced gaming, HD media streaming and super-fast Internet.

 

 

D-Link Introduces Industry’s First All-in-One Mobile Companion

D-Link today unveiled an innovative new product every traveling tablet and smartphone owner needs – the D-Link® All-in-One Mobile Companion (DIR-505). Smaller than a standard mouse, the new portable device offers instant wireless access wherever an existing network is available. It also features USB sharing capabilities, enabling users to share videos, music and photos from an external hard drive or thumb drive to any iPad®, iPhone® or Android device. For added convenience, the All-in-One Mobile Companion allows users to sync files and charge smartphones, offering the ultimate set of features for home or on-the-go convenience.

 

D-Link Introduces Cloud Camera 5000 with HD Pan and Tilt

D-Link today expanded its award-winning mydlink-enabled IP camera line to include the D-Link® Cloud Camera 5000 (DCS-5222L) offering pan/tilt capabilities and automatic day/night viewing, and the mydlink-enabled D-Link® Enhanced Wireless N Day/Night Home Network Camera (DCS-942L) featuring a microSD slot for local video recording. Joining D-Link’s portfolio of products bringing Cloud Services to the home network, the Cloud Camera 5000 and Enhanced Wireless N Day/Night Home Network Camera enable consumers to remotely access live video feeds on any desktop via the mydlink.com portal or on-the-go with an iPhone®, iPad® or Android™ device with the mydlink app and included remote control.

 

 

D-Link Ushers in New Era of Wi-Fi with 802.11ac Technology Support

D-Link today announced its support of the next-generation Wi-Fi standard 802.11ac, delivering gigabit wireless speeds, higher capacity and broader coverage to home networks. Developed at the IEEE, the 802.11ac standard offers much faster data speeds than the current 802.11n, at up to one gigabit per second, by sending multiple simultaneous streams of data from access points to devices. This new standard allows for less interference and a cleaner connection and is ideal for wireless HD and 3D streaming, lightly-compressed wireless display, and high-speed synchronization. D-Link products supporting 802.11ac will also be backwards compatible with 802.11n, ensuring that current products and networks do not become obsolete.

 

 

D-Link High-End Home Networking Named as CES Innovations 2012 Design and Engineering Award Honoree

D-Link today announced that it has been named an International CES Innovations 2012 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for the amplifiHD Media Router 3000 (DIR-857) with SharePort™ Mobile app. The high performance N900 (N450 + N450) dual band concurrent router boasts a sleek, functional design attractive for any home. It also features data transfer rates up to 900 Mbps, HD Fuel® technology to prioritize bandwidth for high-performance on all devices, USB 3.0 for faster streaming content, SharePort Mobile app with Cloud Services to easily manage and share content from anywhere on the Web, and 4 Gigabit ports with true Gigabit throughput capability.
